Hermann van Veen Trust

Herman van Veen and Hans-Werner Neske founded the the Herman van Veen Trust Germany in 2003. The aim of the trust is to help children and young people in their development, irrespective of where they live in the world, so that they can develop their talents and abilities in every respect and show them off to best advantage. The trust has a specific focus on promoting physically, mentally or emotionally disabled children and young people.

Three specific recent examples are proof of this: In recent years the Hermann van Ween Trust helped the Philippine "Kaibigan" children's and youth choir. This choir recruits its talented singers from the slums of Manila and offers the youngest and weakest of the poor musical training and a social safe haven at the same time – an invaluable glimmer of hope for a happy future. Recently the trust took over the renovation and accessible conversion of a sailing boat for the inclusive Maria Montessori School in Krefeld. It offers the most diverse physically disabled schoolchildren – up to wheelchair-users – the opportunity to obtain a sailing certificate or even just enjoy a boat trip.

Murtfeldt supports this trust with regular advertisements and financial contributions, including the construction of a football cage for the use of socially vulnerable children.
